Good news: 1. My com's back! Fine and GOOD. 2. Tomorrow SHOULD be my last day of work for December, and for 2009. Next time's Jan 2010.3. I smell freedom near, and I should be off to planning the long-awaited Pulau Ubin trip before 4e2 kills me. (& that is if I dun get lazy, & if I have the time to. Well, understand that I got to work tomorrow yeah? :P)4. So gonna plan my MUST-GO(s) for my Taiwan trip. ^^5. I'm getting my pay oh-so-soon! Oops. Is this something I should announce? :XBad news:1. Cos I'm ending work soon, especially since the bookfest is over, I find myself saying "Bye bye" to my friends, not knowing when I'll ever see them again :(When I lose sight of them, it just dawns on me. "Hey, when will we meet again?"Well, all I've got to say is that Thank you girls for being my friends, being such wonderful colleagues, being such wonderful companions. I'll definitely miss the times when we complained together, gossipped, had super laughing moments during our dinners (Subway + LJS), supper (Beehoon + junk food), breakfast (Prata), and working midnight where we had to work our way through the millions of book stands and story books.I hope we all decide to work together again next year (if we have a chance to). And of course, an outing together, before we all get busy again yeah!Anyway, some updates about my night at Suntec Hall 401-404! :DMet the girls (usual: white polo tee with jeans) at City Hall MRT before heading down to Marina Square for dinner. Laughter as always. KFC was packed, so settled for LJS.Carrefour next to get some snacks to last us through the night. As well as the life saver: RED BULL!Rushed down to Bookfest after Pay Shin called us repeatedly to be quick.Punched in at 6pm, before getting sent off to be a queue controller :/By 9pm, I had nothing to do. Yeah. Weird and amazing.Waited till 10pm before we (me, Joceline and Jasmine) went separate ways to collect the book stands, frames and like.Packed those things till 12 plus and we were nowhere near finishing. Had supper.Bee hoon + Lays + Biscuits + Red Bull!Karen and me went to do STO afterwards.I was super awake after Dorothea scared me with that damn snake. Eek.Yeah, the red bull was taking effect soon after too.Time passed really really quickly. Finished 3 pallets and the other part timers who worked midnight were already getting ready to go home. And the others were already coming in to report for work.Well, the 5 of us were fortunate/unfortunate cos we weren't going home yet. We had to/wanted to/volunteered to complete our pallet before leaving. Can you feel the sense of responsibility? HAHA.Anyway, we finished everything close to 12pm. Yupp. 6pm to 12pm. 18 hours of continuous work. (Y)(Y)(Y)GREAT SENSE OF ACHIEVEMENT!Was totally knocked out at 3+pm. I actually dozed off while watching hai pai tian xin. Pro no?So after a day's rest, down to Bras Basah for work today.To do "price tag peeling". Yeah. Peel. With our fingernails. I'm still trying to figure out if it's a good idea to keep my nails long. I promise myself a mani + pedi after working at the warehouse next Jan.I'm going to pamper myself for CNY. Using my own hard earned money. *grins*Yeah anyway, another round tomorrow *faints*Got another 2-3 pallets to settle. I guess this easily total up to a few hundred to a thousand books. *gasps*Enjoyed "window shopping" at Bugis Street with Joceline after work today. Currently no cash to spend. Will wait till I get down there with mummy or wait till I get my pay on my hand. HOHO.So gonna spend another portion of it in Taiwan. ^^Can't wait can't wait. Just thinking about being able to go to Taiwan totally motivates me to work harder especially when the time is passing really slowly, and I'm like dying from the never ending pile of books.
